As a few other guys on here have done it I might give painting my engine a crack. Would this paint be suitable

How durable do u think this will be? Would I need to lacquer it and would it affect the performance of the engine at all??

As they say in ronseal adverts, id guess it does exactly what it says on the tin. Wont need to laquer it, and wont affect the engine in any way other than colour.

I thought you could use hammerite for this? Do they do a high temp version?

They do a spray, i was gonna hand paint it after prep, Ill have look around, but I'm sure this stuff would be ok. Thanks Peperami, nice to get a decent answer

If you decide to spray i guesss you've got a lot of masking to do. Could always mask the renaultsport writing off i guess, would look pretty cool.

Please dont say you're fitting an engine cover though... lol

Lol, they just rattle and lose bolts! But i suppose from a detailers point of view might be more paintwork to polish...
