unsure on the loose bits,
but the juddering is top struts, nothing to worry about, but do a search on here if you want it resolved

if it is slow speeds and it judders then it is struts, if when you go round a bend and hit a little bump in road and the car jump ups a tad then poss shocks

haha come on only have exaltos on it lol

ok ill re address it

on full lock at slow speeds (ie) turning out of flats wwhere i live or u turning in the road it does this

had shocks replaced last year not them

How do you mean it slips? understeer? oversteer?

I can't imagine any car understeering or oversteering around a junction on full lock, unless you were going too fast.

if i turn right from about 2 miles a hour till 15 mph the right wheel looses grip as if its lifting of the ground thats all i can explain really makes a horrible noise aswell

mate i know what you mean, i get this a little bit as well, not as bad as yours, i just thought it was where you are on full lock and the roads are slippery? probly not though,

  RB Clio 182
theres a thread on ere sum where n it cud be down 2 not much tread left on front tires or down 2 the top mounts??

  ur megane r26
the best way i can describe it is like getting a little bit of understeer at really slow speeds, I get it when i drive out of the garage, i have a wall opposite my garage so i have to drive very slowly out and put the car on full lock once the fronts out, also i only seem to get it when i first drive the car after a while, so automatically put it down to cold tyres

From what i can make out, i had a similar problem when i fitted the coilovers to mine, the tracking was so far out that on full lock the front wheels wer'nt at the correct angle, made the steering feel really light and like the front tyres were bald. But obvious things are tyres and cant forget about the bad weather.

same problem here too, tyres arnt great so maybe this? I'll get new tyres very soon and get tracking done, hopefully this sorts it

Mine does this, i'm sure its down to either the slippery (icy) roads or drains!

Mine does this too replaced both top mounts had both hubs off checking the bearing for play. Also checked the subframe for any wear nothing!

So going to Mark Fish next week who suspects it could either be the driveshafts or geometry being out.

Tons of people have told me its normal but I am not having that it never used to do it before.

well its def not tyres as there practically brand new lol
could be tracking all started when i popped the front right on a curb since then had new alloys put on oh well 60k service due so rentech can take good car of it lol

  Nissan 350z + 206 Dturbo
mine does this too its weird
but mine makes like a creaking sound
only on full lock though , driving feels like it always has

I'd put money on the tracking or castor / camber angle knocked out when you hit the kerb . You ned to get a full geometry check , good body shops can offer this service.

its strut top mounts mate, mine and my mates car are doing the same, they do exactly what yours does. his trophy is getting done monday so i will confirm it if it fixes the problem, 20 quid euro parts by the way for 2.

Kev let me know too please, My trophy is doin the same thing, only very at very slow speeds feels like wheels slip slightly. Noticed coming off my drive few days ago :(

Do you have abnormal wear on the inside and outside of your tyres? I thought this was down to the slippy roads but perhaps i'm mistaken.

Mine does this most noticeably on full lock in the mornings, as though the wheel is rumbling / slipping.

Are the top mounts and the bearings the same throughout the range?

  Astra SRI/ Hornet
Ok my mate has found the problem, aparently there is a bearing underneath the top mount with wears causing play in the suspension, Renault sell a kit of top mounts plus bearings for 125 quid. I dare say euro parts will be cheaper. Hopefully every1s car gets sorted now.

So its not the top mount itself, its the bearing underneath ?
Anyone know how much from Euro Car Parts or CES ?

mine does this. I live with it. Could spend a fortune fixin every little annoyance. It's just a car and i've not got money to burn!

i had the exact same problem for ages. Brand new front tyres and it all stopped. Havnt heard the noise since.

yeah my tyres, eagle f1s seem to grip like a mofo, but the tread tends to grip the road in an odd way... Hard to explain. Could be that?

  Astra SRI/ Hornet
If ya change the bearing and mount at the same time it will be sorted, I had 4 new tyres just put on last week and still does it. It's defo that l, believe me people!!!
