For both seats the labour was £225 and the 2 cables £29.70 plus VAT. Paid it with some surprise at the amount but it is important to be able to get out of the car! My wife was in a crash years ago in a Hillman Imp and she got out from the back but her friend next to her didn't and died in the fire!
Had both cables replaced on the son's Clio (2002 model). Very expensive but in my view it is a very serious safety issue! I wouldn't want to be stuck in the back in a crash and not be able to easily get out.
I was wondering if this was going to become the next bonnet catch type of safety recall...
Wait until it hits the showrooms and then see how it looks up close, my dealer has deposits on 2 already! One green, one LY. If the spec is good and the i.d. options give it a personal feel then it might sell. Remember the front and rear (and mirrors I assume?) come in matt anthracite OR gloss...
Certainly would! We have 3 Clios II in our family, a 1.2, 1.4 and the 182, all have been virtually faultless, cheap to run and never let us down. We had a 1.2 8 valve Clio II before and it reached 86,000 miles, was a learner car for my two sons and we sold it to a friend to teach their son to...
You have to let it dry properly then polish it off with a clean microfibre cloth, then it works really well, glass too, but it says on the bottle not to use on windscreen!.
Great stuff, really easy to apply after a wash, just wipe off excess water and spray on the Aquawax with a microfibre cloth, does wheels, tyres, glass, all black trim, everything!!!! Let it dry and wipe off with fresh cloth. brilliant result and lasts at least as long as EGP. Smells fab too.
I was there too but took the Astra! seemed more suitable than my 182.
The VXR day was superb, good cars and very well organised, definately recommend as incredible value for £95. You can burn that much in petrol and rubber during the 3 hours. :) :) :)
