That may be where the confusion is coming from. The OP was talking about tyres on a cupped 182. That's what I have and I think the standard tyre size on it are 205/45 R16.

Had to replace 3 recently. The two fronts lasted nearly 14k which I thought was pretty good; maybe I'm not trying hard enough. ;) The third one was because one of the rear tyres had been losing pressure for about a month and I asked the place fitting the new ones to check it out thinking...

How long does the noise last if you hold at those revs? Why do you think it is the engine rather than the transmission?

Am I just being even dumber than usual, or is there no oil temperature readout on the 182? Even my saxo has one of these and Id like to be able to see how long my new toy takes to get up to temperature before I can start playing, especially during running in.

Just taken delivery of my new 182. Everything looks OK apart from front splitter which is slightly skew on one side. Back in next Friday though for them to have another go at fitting it properly. Everything present and correct apart from mat clips. Dealer claimed they are no longer supplied...

Thanks for the warm welcome. :) It will be interesting to compare how the new 182 compares to the VTS in terms of performance and handling on the local twisties, and Ill see if I can sort out some pics when it arrives.

Could have been worse. When I saw the "Side Air Intake vents" in the title a sick, perverted image of a 1.2 with sticky out bits on the side, and a 17 year old explaining to his Chav mates that these new Clio V6s are the dogs danglies, came unbidden to mind. *shudder* Im recovering nicely...
