Hi Guys,
Just want to check something. Under hard accelleration (usually 5k+) there is a knocking sound coming from the front passenger wheel. Also, on full lock there is quite a vicious knocking (worse when it's cold).
Is this a fooked CV joint?
Thanks,
Tom
Thanks for the sympathy guys. The idea of someone having a vendetta can't be true. The first time it was in blackpool, the second was on my street (a good 90 miles difference), just a fuckin bad concidence. At least it was on the same panel as last time, which I haven't had repaired yet. Would...
Little b******s have done it again, same panel as last time! Just a good job I didn't pay the £400 to get it repaired before! Can't wait to catch someone doing it, they won't have any eyeballs or teeth left in their head!
Rant over.
Quick update guys. The claim handler's just phoned me. We're going out to where it happenned to take photos, he's said not to worry about it. They're going to go for a cash settlement first, he thinks the bus company will just pay for the damage rather than have the hassle. But he said either...
Yeah true mate, will have to see what their insurance company says but to a company as big as Arriva it's probably not worth the time and effort of going through all the s**t of insurance etc..
Yep, very sad, fingers crossed I can get it sorted. Worst comes to the worst I'm out of pocket, want to keep the NCB, I'm 19, nearly 20 so will be stung if I lose it, and I'm one of the most careful out there! Bad luck I suppose!!
Thanks for the quick responses guys. I phoned the bus company, they gave me the number for their insurance company and said that they would report it to them and look at CCTV footage.
Her insurance company phoned me today, and mine are putting an investigator in touch with me. I don't want to...
I was on my way to wash my car the other day when I came to a bus parked up at the side of the road (dropping or picking people up, dunno). I looked round the bus and saw it was clear to go past it, the road was plenty wide enough.
Then, as I get up the side of the bus it begins to pull away...
Thing with the 3rd party warranties (or mine especially) is that a claim usually has a limit of value. Mine is limited to £1000 per claim, but I can claim as many times as I want.
Tried to claim for a dodgy ABS sensor...."Sorry ABS sensors arent covered". If I'd have been buying the car again I...
Just recently had my faulty ABS sensor replaced prior to the MOT, and it seems to be accellerating a lot quicker than it was before. Does a faulty sensor affect performance at all, or am I just dreaming?
Cheers, Tom
Well I was thinking about the Ktec carbon one. Thought a tonne was a bit steap for what it is though. But then again, I suppose it is Carbon Fibre. Any pics of a Meggy splitter in action?
