Hi all,
O/S front wheel bearing has gone in the clio. Been phoning round garages in Edinburgh (i'm too far away from my local guy back home since moving here) and they are all quoting at least £130 per side to have them done.
This seems a little expensive to me? Can anyone recommend a reliable...
I ordered some tyres (Dunlop SP Sport) for the clio yesterday, and when they turned up today I found them to be T rated rather than H as I had ordered.
I'm pissed off but there's little I can do because of the jubilee weekend, the earliest I will have the replacement tyres, according to the...
Wonder if anyone in the know can help me.
I've a 2006 1.4 clio 3. On cold start up the engine makes a whirling noise which then disappears once the engine gets warm. Also, in the first mile or so of my journey in the morning, again when the car is cold, changing gear produces the same...
Hi everyone,
I've been having a look through the threads on here regarding cam belts and most are in relation to 172s or 182s. I have a Clio 3 1.4 (2006 ->) and I'm approaching the 5 year/ 72k interval. Can anyone in the know tell me exactly what it is I need done? So when I'm getting prices I...
So i got a new pressure washer at the weekend and bought the proper attachment to go with it (karcher k series). Trouble is, the connector for my old PW lance had a thread that joined the connector to the lance which when the attachement is removed stays with the old Karcher HD adapter. However...
Until yesterday my car had SPAX lowering springs on it. Until it failed its MOT when one of them effectively cracked and left a chunk off it!
They were covered by a 2 year warranty and i am not even a week outside of this. They have flat refused to even look into it, surely its not as black and...

Ipod and itunes have different content on them. When plugged in via usb it doesnt give me the option to update or sync, how do i get whats...
So im needing 4 new tyres soon and id prefer T1-Rs. However they dont come in the size my original Conti's are (185/60/15). What would be the difference in going for 185/55/15 or 195/50/15? Anything wrong with this?
So i recently detailed the car with my g220. Id like something with light abrasives, cleaning ability i could use to remove any light swirling in due course.
Any recommendations? My first thought was lime prime, others?
(id like something i could use to one step machine on other cars also)...
So ive got a bottle of this lying in the garage that hasnt been used since i bought it last year.
It says on the back that theres no need to polish before using it, so whats the best way to use it?
Doing a car for a friend thats been polished with the DA today ready for lsp tomorrow...could go...
How easy are these to come by?
Looking at a few sets of wheels but alot are 5 stud. I remember mick (white Vanlow) having 5 stud porsche wheels on his 4 stud van, so it must be do-able.
Question is- how?!
As above im looking for some new alloys and came across these on the interwebs.
Like a cross between canastas and the Speedlines on the 197.
Could anyone put them on my car for me? :o
Best side on photo i can find...
If it wasnt him then the guy i saw is a good contender!

Doing the GFs car at the moment, and having done mine earlier in the week with the G, i decided to go straight to a cutting pad on hers (paint is terrible) and after a couple of passes on the bonnet there doesnt seem to be much difference.
Im using it with #83 which...
Does anyone have this on their policy?
May have to drive my dads car home on Sat from Edinburgh and just wondering if anyone has ever been stopped with it and checked out ok?
Trying to get a straight forward answer out of the indian woman at bell was like talking to a brick wall!!

Trying to remove one of them at the moment, parts monkey says put a screwdriver in any of the gaps, however the trim is pretty soft when faced with a metal screwdriver.
Is there any technique to it or partic. part of it that pops it off?
Fraser
Just thinking this could be a better way of matching paint colours and may be slightly cheaper than painting? Or is it too complex still; not mainstream enough?
Only problem may be the trim is slightly textured, so would the vinyl show through every imperfection?
I could buy BiltHammer clay that only needs water, but im quite happy with my polyclay so instead of using loads of expensive and possibly unecessary dedicated lube, how would i go about making my own?
Im not asking the usual how to remove it, but how about applying it on black trim?
Saw over on DW rich saying he used Zymol carbon for black trim. Without having to buy that in particular, are there any other waxes that can be used like that on black trim and if so whats the benefit over a gel...
As title really, standard cd player in my car packed up yesterday, no power getting to it at all i dont think, doesnt even light up.
Checked the obvious things like the fuse but its fine, any ideas?
(or is this a secret message to get a new headunit?!)
Coming off the roundabout at the palace car park from motherwell in the mondeo. Was in my brothers car (the grey polo with HIDs shinin') about half 5 last nite.
