Quick ipod question!!

Running a 10k tomorrow and making a playlist, only thing is my itunes is not connected to any ipod (hard drive failed on my computer then i got a new ipod)

Ipod and itunes have different content on them. When plugged in via usb it doesnt give me the option to update or sync, how do i get whats on itunes into my ipod?

If you want what is on iTunes on to the iPod which you haven't transfered to before from that library, restore the iPod via iTunes then sync
