-----on a 2011 Mk3 facelift. I'm changing over a damaged door, the glass/regulator/seals all easy to swap over but not the handle itself. I had a look at this but still not able to remove the outer handles. Anyone know how to remove the baseplate from inside the door, I can't see any...
Now the door warning light shows, sometimes flashing and other times permanently on. I've disconnected the door switches and the tailgate switch but still it shows. The alarm sometimes goes off randomly when the car is locked up so maybe the 2 things are connected. The only switch I can't...
Anyone that can help with this? Car stalled, I switched the Hazrds on as I was in the middle of the road, engine was re-started after a minute then I couldn't switch the Hazards off, drove home a couple of miles with Hazards on ( Of course everyone has to tell you your Hazards on on :rasp:)...

For the first laps of Woodbridge on a wet greasy track I told by the marshals that this was not a place for testing my drift skills, new tyres and a wet surface do not go together. As the track dried out an hour later and the new tyres scrubbed in, grip vastly improved, they felt like...
Just had a set of 4 Paradas fitted on my 15" track wheels as my old Advans were trashed. I hear the Paradas are good grip in the dry but resort to Ditchfinders in the wet! True?
£210 was the fitted price, can't afford Advans any more.
As my AO48's are just about at the end of their life and new ones required soon ( They are expensive) are Parada tyres going to be a decent substitute considerering they are about £47 each?
Since buying the car I have not had this done, the car seemed to drive and pull up straight. I have since fitted new springs and camber bolts and thought it time for alignment. The initial check showed the front toe in at 19deg. WTF! Strange it had no adverse effects. Well after an hour...
Having recently found how it works, the average MPG reading always shows 32.x mpg to 33.x mpg readings even on a trackday the MPG figures show these figures so only varying by about 1 to 2MPG. Why?
Miles to the pump works ok and average speed seems to be ok as well.
I've removed the the solenoid to check that it is working ok. When I apply 12volts to the terminals the solenoid activates but the piston inside the valve only moves about 2-3mm. Doesn't seem enough movement to me Should the piston move more than this?
Had a look on Ebay and found this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Renault-Sport-Clio-172-182-2-0-Lambda-Oxygen-Sensor-/270616741339?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts SM Any good? And do this company really sell genuine parts?
Fitting new OE bearings today. They have a convex side and a flat side and I want to know which side faces uppermost. I should have remembered which way round they were when I dismantled the struts but have forgot.
Im changing my springs to Eibach Pros today. Having taken one front spring out it looks to be about 2" shorter and 2 less coils than the new Pros spring . The Eibach part no. is EU7714001VA, is this the right one? Can't find any mention of a specific part no. for the Cup springs on the Eibach...
Part 1.
Back in February and after the wife banned me:dapprove: from tracking the Fabia after trashing a number of tyres, my thoughts turned for a Me only car which I could use as a runaround and trackday car, but with a modest budget of £2k.
After much deliberating and advice from various...
As I have had a flashing Emissions light blinking intermitantly and what seems to be a misfire on idle only recently, I thought I'll have scan and found the following------
3504 Fuel Evaporation regen. valve malfunction open cct./short cct.
3506 Fuel Evaporation regen. valve malfunction...
To me this looks like an inlet pulley stuck on the end off the camshaft, except the centre is made of some kind of plastic. Is there some sort of mechanism or clutch inside that varies the VVT. Or maybe I'm looking at the wrong pulley.
It's all legal now taxed yesterday, insured and tested. Now my £2000 172 Cup project is complete shes back on the road but I only had time for a few miles last night to get everything up to working temperature and it's all good. I'm going to Naaarwich Saturday which almost 100miles each way...
I've asked the Reno dealer to get me a Touch up paint set set my Cup. The paint code is D43 but the partsman says this code is not available in Touch up paints but checked my reg. no and I do have a valid paint code.
Anyone know why?
Can I buy a kit anywhere else?
Bugger! After many hours changing brakes, fixing fluid leaks and lots of other bits, Drove to the garage for the Test and it passed everything mechanical but failed on a crack on the windscreen. Whilst driving there an old stone chip decided to advance across the screen, into the swept area, I...
As I only have one remote key I need to buy second one as back up. Will an aftermarket non remote key get into the car, disarm the alarm and get the car going.
