My 53 plate 172 went on fire 2 weeks ago, fsh, FF sat nav, 103000 miles, just been offered 1600 quid for it off the insurance! Not agreed yet. What's everyone's thoughts?
Spotted a 200 in grey and a red 172 with the newer cliosport sticker in the rear quarter glass. I was outside 'off the wall' waiting for the mrs to come off the phone before going in! I did shout over, thought it was ash but by the reaction guess I was wrong!
My car has been off the road for about 12 months, in which time the battery had died beyond repair. Now i've had it back on the road (huge thanks to Birchdown!) The trip computer and mpg etc resets itself everything I turn it off! The battery in it now isn't great, but is enough to start it in...
My std 172 steering wheel has perished with the car being stood for so long, so i am after a replacement. I like the likes of the audi 's' wheels with the flat on the bottom...or wether to get my std wheel re-trimmed in leather???

I tried last year but the car was off the road with a bad misfire, and same again this year!! Needs a bit spending on it now and it doesn't help as I got work van so don't need the car so it's been put on the back burner :( have been to a couple of meets at roots n shoots tho!

has anyone ever taken the pump off the bracket whilst leaving all th pipes connected or can that not be done?? Also, does the alternator have to come off?

Hi andz, I have took the slam panel and grille off, top bracket to alternator and power steering pulley and undone 3 bolts on cambelt side and 1 on back and the one into the block, but can't see why it's still fixed solid? Would rather not take the pas pump off completely if I can help it! Did...
Hi all, after the clio being dumped on the end of the road for over 2 months now i have come to attempt to fix it! The top bolt holding the aux belt tensioner has sheared off. I have removed the top bracket from the engine to the alternator (where the bolt goes through), thinking i could drill...
Sort of, I believe its a resistor under the scuttle panel under the drivers side of the windscreen, only I haven't got round to fixing it yet as my aux belt tensioner has packed in :(
