Final update for anyone interested in this - it may be of help to someone with the same type of problem.
First off - the problem is fixed. No more airbag light showing on the dash!! The fault was indeed in found to be the clockspring wiring - so in my case these fault codes do indeed point to...
Yes mate. Engines these days are a ball of sensors and it really is amazing how a stupid resistor can make it sound like the engine is about to drop out of the car or throw a piston somewhere up into lunar orbit. Hopefully this will sort it but remember the proof is in the pudding so let us know...
Nice one mate. Looks like you are on the right path now with it. Hopefully!!! My thinking was you should stick a new MAP in it as you will pay a hell of lot more for a diagnostic not to mention the hassle of getting the car there etc... Then they tell you - its your MAP sensor anyway!
Hopefully...
Update on this: I have eventually got the part number of the squib that is currently in the car from Renault. After several phonecalls to different dealers I eventually got someone willing to help. Part no. is 7701051757

It could be just plugs mate. These plugs look very blackened which is a sign of overfuelling. Plugs might also be weak with an inadequate spark causing this which adds up if they are the wrong grade. Also check your air intake is not restricted. At any rate they will need to be changed and that...
You need to get a diagnostic done on it. Pull the codes - anything else is just guesswork. Could be coils - plugs - Lambda - an air leak on the intake - fuelling issues - Yada Yada.
Is the EML on? If so a code will be stored.
This is my first post on here so congrats for a great forum.
I have a problem with airbag and service light showing on the dash. I know this is commonly found to be caused by a bad connector under the passenger seat but I have run a diagnostic and have found the problem is coming from the...
