Top end re build. The whole cylinder head is brand new all new belts new water pump new belt tensioner new crank oil seal, valves, cam shafts everything. Yeah its running well doesnt seem lumpy like before. Got to take it steady for 500 miles to bed it In and the garage wonts the car back after...
My car has been at the garage down the road for the last month. So you may have seen it outside there. Not normally down that way, more over at the sutton bank side of thirsk work at the carpenters arms @ felixkirk.
Had a phone call off the garage. The cam belt had previsouly been changed like I was told but not correctly. So its bent all 16 valves and caused some other damage to the pully system I think he said so all in all not good......:cry:
Its bloody freezing over here in malton. Wrap up warm on sunday guys.
Not looking good on me going in the clio. The head has only been sent off today. After the cambelt snapped.........:cry:
Cheers scott. Thats what I have been saying it wasnt the mechanics fault, end of the day s**t happens. Its just this is a very expensive s**t. Might also look at getting a chrome manifold. But all depends.
Thanks for the positive comments. After speaking with the mechanic, we have gone with re-conditioning the head and valves. Instead of putting a new engine in. So while the head is in bits was thinking would it be worth putting some cams in if so which ones? Also am I correct in thinking that...
