I need some new rear brake pads for the 182. Any suggestion?

Top end re build. The whole cylinder head is brand new all new belts new water pump new belt tensioner new crank oil seal, valves, cam shafts everything. Yeah its running well doesnt seem lumpy like before. Got to take it steady for 500 miles to bed it In and the garage wonts the car back after...

yeah roads are crackin. Yeah bob in you wont recognise the place complete change to the building in the past 12 months.

Well 4 weeks on and I finally got the car back today........

My car has been at the garage down the road for the last month. So you may have seen it outside there. Not normally down that way, more over at the sutton bank side of thirsk work at the carpenters arms @ felixkirk.

Or cool, there was no owners club stickers on it.

Take it back to the garage. After the last 4 weeks ive had with my'n, wish I had got it from a garage.

Parked in the train station @ thirsk, left a cliosport.net leaflet for you.

Am from malton so not to far from york. Think there is a few of us knocking around ar neck of the woods.

The damage is not just to the head and valves ect. Pics follow..........

Me and 2 mates replaced my'n in a pub car park on my fiesta zs, engine out to new engine running in 10 hours.

Funny thing is I think that's the police car I went into when I wrote my Leon off.

No snow just bitter cold its about 4c outside but feels about -4c with the winds.

Had a phone call off the garage. The cam belt had previsouly been changed like I was told but not correctly. So its bent all 16 valves and caused some other damage to the pully system I think he said so all in all not good......:cry:

Its bloody freezing over here in malton. Wrap up warm on sunday guys. Not looking good on me going in the clio. The head has only been sent off today. After the cambelt snapped.........:cry:

Cheers scott. Thats what I have been saying it wasnt the mechanics fault, end of the day s**t happens. Its just this is a very expensive s**t. Might also look at getting a chrome manifold. But all depends.

Thanks for the positive comments. After speaking with the mechanic, we have gone with re-conditioning the head and valves. Instead of putting a new engine in. So while the head is in bits was thinking would it be worth putting some cams in if so which ones? Also am I correct in thinking that...

High mileage on both for the money.

So a 172 engine wiuld match up with a 182 ECU?

Cheers but if its going to be a new engine has to be a 182 one.

Technically they were bringing the car back to my work. I KNOW the mechanic and wont of been "ragging" it.
