Thanks! I know, it annoyed me having those bolted on the mint engine but as said above we left them till after the engine was fitted to blast and paint them as we needed them to hoist the lump in and didnt want to scratch them.

Yep new clutch was done, bushes, gaskets, bolts, servicables everything from the windscreen forward was either replaced or refurbed. Also a snappy steering wheel

That's a good point however I like driving my 182, although it's noisy on the motorway it's still very fun to drive and getting a second car would mean only driving it at the weekend.

I think i would prefer to find a longer 5th gear that would fit in the original housing. A taller 5th gear would make it perfect, everything else is fine.
