Doesn't appear to have done, certainly no bits missing or big marks on it. I bought the engine in an unknown state some time ago, we are fitting it to a gearbox and starter motor to use for testing a power controller so it will just be cranked over on the stand. Fine for what we want.

We have put a 172 engine on an engine stand for a project we are doing at work, there is something in the side of the engine with a knurled end, can't seem to remove it, it has threads on it but won't screw in. Any ideas what it is:

Have you seen the prices of NSXs these days? The engine isn't bad, IMO the 3.2 in the E46 M3 is miles better, but then that wouldn't fit...
Cheaper to use a Honda Legend V6 VTEC engine :)

I have this on the road now, Clio Cup engine fitted and working very nicely, new exhaust and seat and as of last Friday 12 months MOT. I'll get some more pictures up soon.

Due to a change of plans this car is now up for sale, either as it is now (basically as shown in the pictures) or ideally with the Clio Cup engine I have for it (still sealed) and gearbox. It is currently at a well known Renault place in Long Eaton for being put together, but if anybody is...
I have bought one of these in for evaluation:

It certainly seems to work, but there are elements of the internal construction which I'm not happy with, nothing that 5 minutes, a soldering iron, and a tube of non-corrosive silicone...
I have a wiring problem on my 172 cup, the sidelight fuse for the drivers side blows. I have unplugged the front and rear lighting units and there is still a short to earth. Before I start pulling the dashboard out to get at the back of the fuse box and chase the wires through, has anybody...
Mine has just failed on this as well. CO and HC fine but lambda is 1.045. OBDII says that coolant temp is OK. So I'll check for leaks and see about getting a new lambda sensor. My car has been driven without the cat for some time but I don't see how this would affect it. Anybody know if thu...
The 1.8 with the five blade aperture isn't great, the 1.4 is far better but mine suffered from flare and CA in bright light. Never tried the 1.2 but my 85mm 1.2 is epic.

Geez you are getting a tough time on here. I'd go with good tyres and make sure your insurance company is 100% aware of any mods or they might not want t pay out if anything happens again. Take it easy round the corners!

I'd probably go for the 35mm on a 1.6 crop. Nether will give great bokeh but are good solid lightweight lenses, read the reviews on The Digital Picture if you haven't already.

You haven't updated the text correctly for the advert for the front disks when you copied it from the rear one, the size is incorrect and you refer to them as rear disks.

I just bought a second hand set of those tyres which are in nearly new condition, I then paid £12 per wheel to have them fitted to some standard Clio wheels I had knocking around, total cost to me about £170.
I don't think that is a bad price for new ones though.

I bought a Clio because the parts were very cheap, ideal for running on track days. There might be a Clio tax, but it is massively less than the tax for many other cars.

I'm with that to a certain extent, but to build for high hp NA you need very low friction and very high RPM, so you end up with very long duration cams and very high lift to get the airflow. Whereas with a big turbo setup you are all about huge torgue and massive bottom end strength with extra...
It isn't tyre temperature, it is looking at the relative speeds between the different pairs of wheels, four wheels speeds are taken from the CAN bus. I'm testing the tyre temperature sensors on my Clio :) Steering angle from CAN, brake pressure from a pair of pressure sensors I have fitted to...
I really enjoy Cadwell, there are a good variety of corners but it isn't so long that it takes ages to learn. Here is a video of me testing some kit there in wet conditions, so not exactly thrashing it around, but at least you get to see what the track looks like.
