I was in the same position as you and I paid £1200 third party and my own policy so I got no claims with NFU, phone them up and see what you can get.

Now I am paying £700 with 1ncb, 18 years old.

Crist lads your paying WAAAY to much, you should pay no more than 1800 tbh,

i passed my test and payed £198 on a Peugeot 306 1.9TD (under dads name)
switch to my own policy and it was 900ish,
clio(1.2 16v) was 1200 with coilovers and i was 18 with 0ncb.

Ive found Bell direct, Adrian Flux good.

Once youve done the mods and paid the insurance you realise youd be better leaving the car somewhat standard untill youve got a few years licence held and no claims bonus under your belt. Other wise you will be raped by insurers.

I paid £1460 on my 1.2 16V last year when I was 18 1 NCB 1 years licence with Direct Line.

At 19 I got my PH1 172 for £1300 TPFT. Modded too.
