This happened a week or so back

So i thought i'd take a few shots of how the car sits at the moment. Every minute of owning this car has been a pleasure.

Ph2 rear bumper and it would look superb!!!

Looks good for the miles too - I've got another 40k to go for that milestone lol

hmmm.. Do u not think the Ph1's are at that age now were bumpers etc should be kept standard. Retro look FTW lol.

Maybe but I just don't like the look of the ph1 rear bumpers that's all - they just look like a colour coded bumper from a 1.2 ;)

Ph2 rear bumper just looks a little more beefy in my eyes

Cheers guys

In no particular order, answers to questions:

Its got 15mm hubcentric spacers on the front, back has nothing.

Im most definately sticking with the ph1 arse, although it has picked up a decent war wound on the left side, so a replacement might be down the line.

It brushes up bloody well for an 11 yr old bus, although there are marks and imperfections associated with the age and mileage.

Mechanically it has been very solid. The radiator pissed itself a few months back, and there was some bother a year ago with what turned out to be the excitier wire for the starter motor coming loose. Apart from minor niggles and it vandalising an engine mount driving down in Italy, its been very good indeed. Never uses a drop of oil (although it is changed every 3k) and it still begs for revs like a young 'un.

And yes, it is a skoda fabia splitter. (fantastic value mod)

Thanks for all the kind words once again.

Now there's a username I haven't seen about in a while, good to see you've still got the ph1, shame those wheels have gone, but they were a little worse for wear.

Glad it's still treating you well, mine makes me want to cry at the moment.

Thats a point.

I've heard of you via james/brookie, I have spotted you in the spotted section but you are hardly active and have never been to a meet :nono:
Come along to the sheff one later this month? :)

Jeese, thats depressing.

Mines an 02 plate and has 103,000 miles on it, and looks in much worse state than that :(

I do lurk heavily, but i always think if ive got nothing useful to say then its best not to bother.

I'm definately up for a meet its just always silly difficult for me with work. Some days i only know what im working 1 day in advance. I'll get to one before i sell the car if it kills me.
