165/65/14 to 195/50/15 wheels

  Clio Mk2 Ph1 1.2 8v
I've just noticed big differences in driving after upgrading to 15" alloys with 195/50/15 tyres...I just never noticed the ride and steerin bein so bumpy before back on the old steelies and was just wondering is this perfectly normal? On occasions it just seems like my steering jumps from side to side a lot on a bumpy road !!

Lower Profile tyres will give a slightly harder ride, Probably got a Higher PSI

Yeah mate i had the same thing, upgraded to 205/50R16. And when i was driving home one night on a terribly bumpy road, i actually had to pull over and see if the bolts needed tightening, cause felt like my rims were coming lose....steering was jumping silly, but im used to it now. Guess it is kinda normal:)

Yeah, i found the lower profile tyres tend to follow the bumps in the road more. Feels like it's trying to spit me into the kerb sometimes!

You get used to it.
