172 Cup Saying Hello:)

  HK52 VLW 172 Cup
Joined ages ago and couldn't log on for the longest time. This due to me being an older chap and as such, resemble a monkey poking a rock when using computery.

I recently bought back a 172 Cup as my daily driver, which I had sold a year earlier to an enthusiast who worked for a Renault main agent. He spent alot of time and money on the car before being offered an excellent deal on something alot priceir. A decission he regrets, as he's been back on the phone asking to buy it back. I've offered him first refusal, but I'm not ever selling it.

I'm here to learn:)

Welcome to the club, loads of ‘older’ drivers in here, infact most new users are nowadays from what I’ve seen, long gone are the days when lads would want these as a first car tbh, far to slow :)

Any plans to track it or just to enjoy at weekends?

Don't sell, get it done, come and do some track days, you will meet some wonderful people.Problems?. There are usually people to help you if you need it. Don't want to take your car on track?. No problem, most people will run you around for a few laps. Age? no problem, I have 6 track days booked this year, and I am 81 years old in July, just in time for SPA!. Car is Forged running 360bhp, quicker than I can drive it!. Age is no barrier, but bad hip/knee/shoulder might be. , If you really want a good laugh, watch me fall into, and fall out of car, it even makes me smile!.

Thank's for the warm welcome, much appreciated. I'd love to meet up with a few fellow owners, especially anyone around the Romford area.

I've already got an exhaust question that I'll post in the proper section.

Cheer's Ian.

That's a beauty. Mine's is less so, but a work in progress as I'm getting on top of the mechanical items first, then I'll start with the appearence.
