172 re-map info pls

i have a 172 with longlife cat back exhaust and induction kit...was thinking of a re map next just a few questions
pros?
cons?
if you have had 1 are they worth it? could you tell a difference ?

Do you have any more plans in the near future.

Pros= live remap is customised to your car,

Cons= a lot of money for not a lot of gain on your mods!

You would be better off with an rs tuner. Either new or 2nd hand,
Can be sold on again for no loss. Or kept for diagnosis etc

IF its a custom remap is done properly:
Pros : more power, potentially even slightly better economy
Cons : costs quite a lot to have done


IF its an off the shelf map that is suitable (ie RS Tuner map)
Pros : more power, cheap
Cons : not quite as good gains as a proper custom map



IF its anything not done properly:
Pros : None
Cons : lots

this is it would you go for re-map? or leave as it is? ie spend money on poly bush kit suspension? after a re-map and yes would be a live 1 or get the RS map can you tell a difference ? pulls better ?

Spend money on getting the car fresh again. Suspension and steering components.
Car will be quicker that way.
And be nicer to drive

What do you want to get out of it?

me personally every engine is different so I would like a custom map and not a flat map to have it running right.
pi am not saying that's right or wrong, but it does depend if you want cams in the future

182 not 172 but this is the dyno I got from my remap (already had scorpion exhaust). I think it feels smoother and a bit quicker, mainly at lower revs I notice, it's not a massive difference by any means tho...
