25mm lowering

is this enough lowering with springs on std shocks,
or would the car perform better lower,i have a 172sport.

Sounds to me as though you are looking at Eibach Proline springs? They will give a much improved handling, though if you want lower go for the Eibach Sportlines which will also be ok on standard shocks, give similar handling just sit a little lower
