32/64 GB Xc SD Card

I am looking for some guidance on memory cards.

We have won a digital video camera & it takes a memory card.

I gather that I need a 133 speed card?

The 64 GB ones are about £400
The 32 GB ones are about £60

How do I check the speed of the card is quick enough.

It this the 133 speed?

"SDHC guarantees a minimum read and write speed necessary to handle recording high quality video and audio. The maximum card speed may vary, but you can always depend on SDHC cards to meet your SDHC host product’s high quality performance requirements. SDHC Compatibility Information. Because SDHC works differently (supports the new higher capacity cards) this new card format is not backwards compatible with legacy SD format host devices. "

That card is very dangerous!

They have classes.

If you look at that one it is Class 2.

You can go up to Class 12 in multiples of 2. Generally they say Class 6 is the ideal speed for HD video recording so the one in the link is not only too slow, but IMO it is quite risky putting 32GB on an SD card simply because it is a lot to lose plus a high capacity class 6 will be silly money. Pick up some 8/16GB IMO.

EDIT: Something like this is good http://www.play.com/Electronics/Ele...GB-SDHC-Plus-Memory-Card-Class-6/Product.html It should get quite alot of video on it, but 16GB is doable too if you so wish
