Got myself a Canon 350d to start taking some decent photos. So took the oh Abarth 500 out for a run through the Lakes and grabbed a few photos. First time shooting with a decent camera so go easy haha ;)

Really like that, although the wheels aren't for me. Those multi-spoke EsseEsse wheels are my favourite!

Yeah sadly Esseesse wheels are only available with the full package.

These were the nicest ones out of the available options.

Getting new alloys soon though, got a few to choose from.

I think they look great cars.. maybe one of the best car designs ever. what do they handle like?

Handles awesome. Steering is nice and heavy and very precise. Easily on par with my 182 if not better.

Although this does have the Koni fsd Esseesse dampers.

Choice of wheels she wants are Esseesse wheels, Speedline Turinis, OZ leggendas off the Abarth race cars or Speedline 2110s.

Not a fan of the wheels but great colour combo! You weren't at the Trafford Centre the other day in it were you?

Passed that area last Saturday but wasn't around for long. Will of been after 5pm though.

Ah it must have been another then. I hadn't seen one in person in this colour before that... then two come along at once!

Trying to get the Mrs in one of these! looks great mate.

Mine hated them at first.

Then got a proper look round them in person and drove one and loved it.

They are cheaper to buy new than 2nd hand it seems on finance/pcp etc it seems to. We got an awesome deal on this one.

So this happened last week. Covered over 700 miles in a day to head down and have this fitted.

Just got Airtecs new development intercooler fitted to my girlfriends Abarth 500. Its not on sale yet, but will be very soon. Its excellent quality and looks great. Performed fantastic on the dyno keeping temperatures at a minimum.

As you can see we went for a Black intercooler with a blue logo with silver boost pipes and blue joiners. Once its on sale there will be plenty of colour options available for people.

The car was then taken to AMD Essex dyno and was ran on the dyno for a good few runs all back to back to see how quickly the temperatures rose. The car is standard apart from a Magnetti Maranelli backbox.

It pulled 161bhp and 176 ftlbs, over the course of a few runs it only dropped torque by 1 ftlb! The intake temperature from run 1 to the last run rose by only 1-2 degrees and the out temperature from the turbo did not rise at all! It would of been nice to have the car mapped whilst there but with being a relatively new car, we best keep warranty for a short while just encase.

Anyways Ill let some of the photos do the talking.

Did it ever have a before RR'd? As I know they are normally quite "healthy" from factory!

Spot on. I need a FMIC for the TT.

Airtec not do anything? Alan would sort you out a good deal if they do.

Sadly not, we didn't have time to do before and afters as nice as it would have been. I imagine before the intercooler it was proably a healthy 150-155bhp, as you say they all seem to pull healthy power and this one has had a good life since leaving the forecourt haha! Boost gauge now nearly peaks at 1.2 bar instead of 1 bar before the fmic was fitted.

One of the nicest Abarths I have seen

Cheers, she loves it.

Looks like a great bit of kit! Good figures too.

Yeah seems impressive for such a little car. I enjoy driving it, its like a grown up 182.

  Not a 320d
What do you make of the Abarth?

I think one of these would be perfect as a next car. Really want to enjoy driving again.
