Another Trip To The Zoo

Went to Chester Zoo so, cracked out the old 400D yesterday.
Had real limitations with the reflections and lighting, and it being so bloody cold.
Here just a few sample pics of testing out the new sigma 70-300mm APO and some with the 50mm.

Great shots, the 'action shots' work really well! Is it pointless going to Chester Zoo without a telephoto lens?

Yeh admittedly the borders are oversized. Didnt look to bad on thumbnail view though lol!
How big would you say an effective border is for 1500 x1000px?
Cheers for the comments on the pics though. Quite impressed with that little sigma lens for the price!
And no you could get away without telephoto, it just come in useful when the animals really don't want to pose for you :rasp:
