Anyone good with excel?

Basically I have 2 columns, one contains a yes or a no and the others have a number

Y 2.045
N 1.044
Y 2.048
N 3.048
N 2.048

etc

What I want to do is compare the number 0 to its 3 closest numbers in the range and return back the majority of Y or N. Cheers for your help if you can do

I have 2 columns of cells. One with the numbers in and one with the Y and N's in.

I want a single cell to calculate the 3 closest numbers to 0, then see if the 3 closest numbers are Y's or N's.

Sort the columns with numbers into accending order from 0 and then take the first 3?

then take what u need

or you could set up a marco to do it

what if 4 numbers are the lowest and the same?

add a column before the Y N column and value column to calculate the rank for each value, using the formula "rank". At the side then use a lookup to lookup rank 1 2 and 3 and count the instances of each.
