I have been reading about the carbon canister as I didn't know what it was and have since realised it is for the fuel tank vent if I have read correctly.
This got me thinking about the last time I filled up with fuel. There seemed to be a release of pressure when I opened the fuel cap. This is the first time I have put fuel in the car since buying it so noticed it as my last car didn't do this. Could it be that the tank vent system is blocked or blanked or do they do this normally?
