Might of been me that mate i live just off mitchell ave. Bit too long ago now to know for definate lol but my front renault badge is painted graphite the same colour as my wheels. Was like that when i bought it. Iv only just started comin on here not long ago so only just noticed your post

I fancy stickin some coil overs on it n i like the look of the k-tec carbon fibre splitter n im undecided whether i should change the alloys or not i cant decide lol yeh ill keep an eye out for u too mate shouldnt be too hard to spot an inferno coloured car haha

Sounds like some good plans mate, If you do think about changing the alloys then the Speedline Turini's would be worth a look, seems to be most people's choice.

Just had a look at some on ebay n i do really like them but they arent cheap r they lol £750 quid with tyres for 16s. Which wheels have u got on yours?

Same as yours currently i think mate, there just the standard 182 alloys but i sprayed them satin black. I was toying with the idea of a set of Wolfrace Pro-Lites or the Turini's for a track wheel next year. What makes you want to change the 182 one's youve got now ?

Do you go on track days in yours like? I dunno really lol just to change it a bit from the norm if yano wot i mean. I wouldnt mind spraying the ones iv got on now black, there was an arctic blue one on here with gloss black wheels and that looked good so just need to make a decision on what i want to do really.

Not yet mate, hoping to have it ready for next year though. Getting the Cam & Aux belts done and top mounts sorted in October. Sounds good, would certainly save you some cash if you get them sprayed.

I dont know an awful lot about engines n stuff so not sure wot difference getin that stuff wud make haha wudnt mind gettin mine re-mapped. Does a de-cat exhaust make it really loud or just a nice sound if yano wot i mean lol mines got a different to standard exhaust system on it but wudnt mind makin it slightly louder

Lol well the Cam & Aux belt change is a necessity once the cars done 36k miles and the new top mounts are due to my Cup ones constantly creaking when turning the wheel, so not really much performance gains more just essential maintance, I would check your belts have been done if its over 36k. De-cat would make it quite loud mate depending on the exhaust, Ive got the KTEC Ultra Performance exhaust without the centre silencer, personally thats loud enough for me as its just bearable on long motorways. If i ever bump into you, you can have a listen lol. Yozza exhaust is probs the loudest you can get.

Mines done just over 58K. Not sure if they have been changed but i was planning on getting them done early next year just to be sure lol. Mines quiet on motorways which is a good thing it only gets louder when u accelerate. Iv watched a few videos on You Tube of 182s with Yozza systems on and they sound really nice but probably would get annoying if it sounds like that constantly lol I seen a black 182 on Mitchell Ave last night about 10ish and that sounded nice. Do u go to Teesside Park on a Wednesday night my mates dragging me over there tonight lol so might see u there if your going.

Definately a good idea getting them done mate, if the Yozza is too loud then i would recommend taking a look at the KTR Ultra. Havent been to Teesside park on a Wednesday for ages mate, last time i was over there i was pulled by an unmarked octavia and slapped with three points, learnt my lession though I think most of the Clio lads our way go over on a Sunday night now. Let me know of the turnout and I might have to start getting over there on few nights.

haha yeh u have to be careful over there u neva no if there any undercover coppers about. I ended up goin to the pics last night instead but i think there was a fair few out considering how bad the weather was lol i might have a trip over on a sunday night one time if thats when the clio owners meet. Iv been looking on the K-Tec website n i like quite a few things on there but i think ill have to save up for a while to be able to afford everything i want lol i wouldnt mind getting carbon fibre bits n pieces like the front diamond and around the front fogs n the rear bumper insert but carbon fibre costs a fortune lol im like a kid in a sweet shop on here i see something i like on someones car and want it haha

I know what you mean, theres a couple of octavia's round here. I cant stop spending on mine, always looking to improve something. I use KTEC a fair bit mind, If you become a member on here for £10 then you get 5% discount on the KTEC website, certainly saved me a fair few quid. You could always consider gettin some carbon wrap and doing them yourself for a fraction of the price. Everythings just clipped on so if your handy with stuff like that may be worth a shot. Think i may try to make a Sunday nite sometime like aswell, there's a cannie few 172's round boro that head over i think.

Certainly worth a go if it saves you some money in the long run, plus easy to repair from stone chips and that. Keep an eye out for posts by "extremeinferno" he sells alot of stuff in carbon mate. Welcome pack comes with a bottle opener keyring and the must have Cliosport.net sticker, Plus you get discounts for loads of places so definatley get your money back in no time at all. Has your mate got a Clio aswell then ? Im in Nottingham this weekend but will look to get over once im back next week.

Yeah a couple, fitted an ITG panel filter & Samco induction elbow, Silvatec bulbs and the KTEC ultra exhaust, also set to work with a can of satin black spray paint and done the alloys, Renault diamonds, Side bullets, calipers, rear badges, dash inserts and the speed dial surround. Looking to fit uprated top mounts, Brembo HC's and Ferodo DS2500 by new year. Cant stop spending money on it lol, looking forward to seeing how yours looks with the carbon like mate, im the same when i see something i always want it lmao.

sounds like uv done quite a bit then lol did u spray the wheels yourself? id make a right pigs ear of it if i done it lol I cant really afford to soend money on it yet im still waitin for a pay rise at work but when i get it im gunna go daft lol so might be after Xmas that i can afford to start changing things. iv seen a few pics of Arctic blue 182s with white speedline turini's on n they look really smart. i finally make my mind up then then i see something else and it throws a spanner into the works haha whats this matched inlets i always see people talking about? worth doing?

Yeah just remembered i sprayed my wing mirror's too lol The wifes dad sprayed the alloys for me but ive done the rest. I do like the Speedline Turini's like mate, if im honest i would say i prefer them to the standard 182 alloys. You could even wrap the centre diamonds in carbon too mate. Matched Inlets is just a case of matching the opening of the inlet ports to match the cylinder head opening, improving air flow a bit and probs increasing the throttle response. It wouldnt increase BHP dramatically but if your going ahead with the exhaust, remap and performance filter then may be worth considering doing at the same time. Ive fancied it but really could do with getting it remapped first, maybe something to add to the list after the belts have been done.

it all sounds really expensive to me haha wudnt mind gettin it all done but dunno if i can afford it all just yet lol im startin to really want a yozza system but i need to find out if its really loud inside n if its noisy when your cruising at like 70 or woteva and if they are ok at passing an MOT. There isnt an awful lot you can do to these to increase BHP is there like its hard to find anyone that does engine chipping and the turbo conversions cost about how much the cars worth lol tbh the speed doesnt really bother me its quick enough as it is i just want it to look nice lol mines only got a piperX air filter and magnex exhaust system i think that were already on when i bought the car so i wanna start adding my own touches to it

Just noticed your a paid up member well it would pass an MOT as long as you dont de-cat it, Mine sounded loud on the road to Nottingham so the Yozza would be louder still but its certainly the most recommended system as far as im aware. I was after one originally but there seemed to be a long waiting list and as my exhaust was blowing i decided on the KTR exhaust. There isnt much you can do unless you look into throttle bodies but that will set you back a fair bit. Best bet would be a decent exhaust system and air filter mind, then maybe look to upgrade brakes or tyres. It will look good when you start personalising it yourself mate, the carbon bits sound like a good idea, Already looks in great condition and you can make a few changes on the cheap mate. Did you head off to that meet in scarborough ???

Yehhh i thought id part with my tenner haha well worth it like looking forward to getting my welcome pack lol iv messaged a lad with a yozza system to find out about it so hopefully he can tell me what its like in his opinion. When i first bought the car it had the michelin exalto's on the front but they were pretty low so i changed them a couple of months ago but only could afford budget tyres n i wish id scraped up a few quid more for some better ones. They are dangerous in the wet it wont grip a corner if your travelling more than 20-25 round it lol so thats on the top of my list as well to get back onto the michelins. Nah didnt end up going cos of the weather it ruins everything :dapprove: lol how was nottingham?

You will have to get the Cliosport sticker in the window lol. Should be a good review of the Yozza if he gets back to you. How much do the michelins set you back ? I went to C&S tyres in Boro town centre and got Falkens, £70 a tyre. Hold the road much better than my last ones, I used to have the same problem in the wet. Did you head over Teesside park on sunday ? Nottingham was good although the weather was terrible, couldnt see two foot infront of me on the way there. Had a nightmare when i got there, went to open the drivers door and the outside door handle snapped off in my hand to heavy handed i guess but looks like something else to sort out in the next few days lol.

I usually go to M&M tyres over the boarder Snowden Road they r usually quite reasonable. nah didnt bother with t.park i couldnt be bothered after it poured down so just stayed in all day and watched the golf lol. Ohh nightmare lol can u still open the door ok then or u climbing through the passenger side. Thats the sort of unlucky thing that would happen to me lol good french engineering ey!! :rasp: lol

yeah well there will be loads of people on here with a Yozza mate. I need a new rear tyre soon, just noticed i have a nail wedged in it so may give them a try. I know i couldnt believe it, one thing after another lol the door wont open so having to jump across, gonna have a look on ebay see if they have any going cheap. Think the only issue will be the colour, never seem to be able to find a correct match to Inferno so debating wether to spray them satin black as well, probs save some money but not sure if it would be an improvement or not. Cant say i know many bodyshops in the Boro that would be able to sort it for me, would be easy enough to fix myself its just the colour and would have thought would cost me an arm and a leg to have them spray something so small.

Yeh i think looking at your car now they would look nice satin black. Plus i havnt seen any with different coloured door handles on here so u might start off a trend haha theres a body shop on Snowden Road near M&M exhausts. Not sure what its called but i used them a few years ago when i had a 206 and he was very reasonable. Think my brother in law knows the lad who owns it so ill ask him n let u no. I PM'd a different lad and he told me to get one. He said that they sound really nice over 4.5/5000 revs and the noise over 70mph is pretty acceptable so think im gunna go for one. Also he said MOT's wont be a problem cos they are a catback and not de-cat so thats a bonus.

Yeah cheers mate, well theres loads on ebay so will order one then look to see on prices, I can fit it myself so would only need to pay for the spray but like you say it may look okay in Black satin so something to look into. Ive got a dent in the bonnet too so may be worth having a chat with someone anyway to see if its repairable or wether a new bonnets needed. Sounds like a good idea mate, they are certainly highly recommended, never heard a bad word about them. You thought any more into the matched inlets ? to be honest since you mentioned it youve got me wanting it done too lol. Hoping to get mine into mendal motors within a week or two for new belts and new top mounts fitted.

Nah havnt really thought any more about them matched inlets yet i work at Corus so im waiting to see what the outcome of whats happening is first cos hopefully could get a bit of a pay rise so all depends on that really. Would definately consider it if things turn out like im hoping. Mendal motors are spot on like i had mine in for a major service just after i bought it n then got my rear wheel bearing n new rear pads done not long ago n they do a good job for pretty cheap. Id rather take it to a renault specialist cos they know the cars inside out rather than just a normal garage if yano wot i mean lol i think the first two jobs on the top of my list are new belts, a yozza n coil overs then ill start thinking about matched inlets and maybe spraying the wheels.

Yeah thanks mate, could do with a good clean up as its got a few parking dents. What happened with the 206 ? My dad worked at Corus but was made redundant, are they doing okay now ? I always use mendal and never had any issues and its certainly better taking it to a Renault specialist for the belts doing as they have all the proper tools. Im looking forward to hearing yours with a Yozza like mate an see how mine compares. Cant wait to get some new bits myself like, always looking to improve something. I just noticed a dent on mine earlier on i was fumin probs off someones door. Not that noticable but still really annoying. I got a part time job in Morrisons petrol station when i was doing my apprenticeship and was on my way bak to the shop to clock off and some woman cut the mini roundabout so i swerved to miss her n clipped a bollard lol i wasnt happy after that like. Im looking forward to hearing the Yozza as well they sound nice on some videos iv watched. I wouldnt mind hearing yours like id probs get one of them if the Yozza fails. Yeh i cant wait to get a few bits either im not gunna do anything major i just like subtle mods if yano wot i mean lol Theres a set of coilovers on K-Tec that are meant to be pretty decent the V-Maxx ones dont think they r that expensive either compared to most. Havnt really heard much else about the take over of corus since that agreement was signed so still waiting to hear whats going to be happening. Im working at the coke ovens and they can just make and sell coke for the fun of it cos its in pretty high demand so its not too bad. Which plant did your dad work on?

I know what you mean mate, i bought some dent pullers of ebay but didnt really do much, I seem to pick all mine up in the car park at work. I'll have to take a look at these coilovers then mate, my list seems to keep getting bigger and bigger lol. I know when i had my exhaust fitted i couldnt stop driving it, think its still setting in at the moment like. Pretty sure my dad used to work at the blast furnace, I know it was down in redcar. Thanks very much for the number, think i may look to get the bonnet sorted once i get the car back from Mendal, the dents been bugging me for ages. Yeh i think they look a lot nicer when they are lowered slightly. You can go over the top with lowering i think it looks nice just taking the gap between the arch and the tyre away. Ano mine does too lol im gunna end up spending all my money on it n being skint again lol ill probs be the same when i get my exhaust fitted ill end up driving all over the place just to listen to it lol uv got a bit of a decision to make like havnt ya lol if u want your handles inferno or black. I think black would look good like but i dont want to advise u to do that incase it looks cr*p haha

I had a look on the KTEC website at the V-Max coilovers mate but the dont make them for my car with it being a Cup model so may have to have a bit of a look around. Cant wait to get the top mounts fitted, the creeking is really starting to grind on me now lol. Yeah it does get addictive, soon as i had mine fitted i took it on the roads upto Helmsley, would deffinatley recommend it if its a nice day. I know i cant make up my mind mate, think it would probs coast about £30 most to have it sprayed its just a case of getting it the same shade, a mate said he would photoshop them black so could see what it looks like but still waiting for him to get back to me. Cant wait till the cars back to perfect condition.

What are top mounts? Iv got a creaking noise coming from the rear passenger side n i dunno what it is its doing my head in lol whats the difference between the cup model like? is it just the hubs are a different size or something? yeh good idea getting them photoshopped it will give u a good idea of what they look like then u can decide from there what you want to do. I just cant wait to get the money to be able to do what i want with it lol i hate waiting for stuff i have no patience i need everything now lol Iv also got a sort of tinny sounding vibrating noise when i accelerate from low revs not sure what it is might be the exhaust or something i dunno ill have to get it checked out or just wait to see if it still does it once i get my new exhaust.

The top mounts sit on top of the front suspension struts, replacing the standard mounts and reducing movement which should tighten it up abit. Judging by the creaking from the rear and the vibrating noise you mentioned i'd say it could be your rear exhaust mounts, to be honest they are pretty weak and do go often, there should be two of them and there kinda like a grey box with the metal support from the exhaust running through it. The Cup model has harder suspension and a cup spoiler mate, a lot less of them were made than the standard 182 (according to the renault site only 168 Cups in Inferno ???) but most people on here seem to prefer the FF 182 with cup packs rather than the Cup model. Its starting to get really annoying having to climb across from the passanger side lol. I know what ya mean mate im no good at saving and always end up spending more than i have lmao, fortunatley its christmas soon ! So have you had many problems with yours yet mate ? ive spent the last year putting mine back together since buying it, always something that needs repairing or updating lol.
