BMC airbox. . . .

Hey guys, Advise needed,

Ive seen this on fleabay, are these kits universal?

And also this would fit a 172 with the adjustment of the bracket, jubilee clips and Cold air feeds?

Might bid on it if thats the case.

Are they the BMC copies like they sell in Halfords? If so buy one and put a green cotton air filter in it, better gains than a BMC for less than half the price. Also yes they would fit get a 90 degrees silicone elbow from hill power or use a samco one etc.... then just join it to that and run the feed to the front of the car, jobs a good en!!

It has to be the one for the 172/ or two liter engine. The 1.6 etc are different/smaller

as above really, the hill power/samco induction bend will need to be shortened though. Pleased with mine. The Cold air feed that comes with it is crap - wont bend well enough but you could buy a short length on ebay but make sure you get the right Diameter. The small mounting bracket will also need 2 be bent to shape but its no biggie

AWESOME! Just won it for a final bid of 54 pounds plus 7 postage.

Some small mods to be done but otherwise, a happy chappy!

(Oh it was for the 2 litre version too)
