my dci clio seems to give a couple of chugs now and then in 3rd gear at about 1500 revs it does not do it all the time

Get the EGR valve cleaned. See if that helps

had it in to renault about a month ago the spanner light came on a nd message came up on screen check injectors renault told me it came up with 2 injector faults
