Cigarette lighter and 'Heavy Hands'

Basically I have a ipod adapter in my cigarette lighter and pulled it out the adapter came away from the thread that goes into the lighter so i need to remove it somehow i have it out of the car but it doesnt seem to want to come away from the ash tray any ideas?

Lol is that all there is to it? how do I remove the plug on the bottom that the connector plugs into?

Take the ash tray out, Then pull the cupholder / Fag lighter bit out.

Thats what ive got out. Im trying to remove the bit thats in the 'tube' of the fag lighter

the tube bit doesnt come out! I spent over an hour and used a hammer, but to no avail!

The bit circled is stuck in the cigarette lighter 'tube'

un plug the socket from the lighter so its not in the car anymore.

Maybe give it a bit of WD40, Then just pull as hard as you can.

Worst comes to wosrt youl have to get a second hand part on ebay i guess.
