Hi all, I am looking to become a 172 owner and the following has come up through my brother in law, who works in the motor trade. 2002 Clio 172 sport, 72k miles, fsh, cambelt changed at 50k. Climate control, half leather etc.
Working in the trade, he can offer it to me for 3.5k, the catch is that it definetly needs a new clutch. I know they are supposed to be heavy etc, but this def needs changing. The question is, after being quoted £500 and £585 at 2 places, does it still work out a good deal? Or am I likely to find a similar mileage and condtion (very good in this case) somewhere else for £4-4.1k?
