Climate control not working

My climate control isnt blowing any air out at all when im stopped. But when im on the motorway etc the air is being forced out but even then its only very lightly.
Any ideas? I was told it could be a rheostat - what is this?

When was it last gassed up etc ?

Im not sure ive only recently had the car. Its going in on thursday for a service so it will be done then if needed

It went into renault and the guy recons it was the actual motor which they want £264. so i thought i would test the motor by taking a 12v direct from the battery and the motor works. so i think its safe to assume the motor is fine! any other suggestions?

heater resistor/rheostat or the wire has burnt itself out, either way shouldn't cost anywhere near the £264 renault have quoted for a new motor which won't fix the problem anyway.
