Clio 172 cup cutting out when warm and at idle, low revs at idle

Right, so my Clio 172 Cup cut out a few times today. Every time it did, it was at idle and the engine was warmed up to operating temperature; it would drop to a very low idle (noticeably less than 1k rpm) and then cut out.

It didn't do it while the engine was cold or while I was so much as touching the throttle. Throttle response is fine as well; as long as you keep any throttle on at all, it keeps running.
I've had issues with the throttle position sensor circuit recently and have replaced both the throttle body and the pedal as well as cleaning all the contacts I can find in the circuit (especially the white connector at the bottom of the engine bay fuse box), haven't had a dash light or cut to limp mode since.

I have my suspicions (currently I'm thinking maybe fuel injectors) but I thought I'd ask the hivemind what you all think it might be.

Also, if it is the fuel injectors, most places online seem to want about £200-£240 for a set but there's an ebay seller claiming they've got new orgnal parts for about £50. That's a big difference; does anyone have any experience with the ebay bits? are they any good? The difference is large enough to make me a little nervous to be honest.

They will be fake. I’ve had a set of fake ones off Amazon as well. Local dealers will have them in stock now, I paid £42 each.

Autodoc are always competitive but you’ll wait an age for them.

Injectors - P/N (8200207049) - OEM Mfr. Magnetti Marelli P/N (805001446001 IWP042)

That makes sense. I'm curious what the difference is, in practical terms, but not enough to risk putting them on my car!
There is a fella selling injectors and a rail for £40 on here. Might be worth a punt?

Cool, cheers!

Is there anything else it might be, while I'm at it?

Also do these look legit or do you guys think they're too big of a risk?

I've ordered from them before, no issues with what I bought, but took a couple of weeks to dispatch (didn't dispatch until I chased) and there were customs charges to pay also. They were the only place with the part that I bought so I had no choice, but I wouldn't use them again if I had the choice.

Recently, on my 172, ive had all sorts random of electrical issues:

Engine turning off randomly
Throttle suddenly turning off and then immediatly on again while driving
Esp light on
Ecu light on (The one that looks like a heart beat monitor) while entering safe mode
I've occasionaly experienced a very low idle too.

All random. Restarting the engine resolved it until the issues would start again, randomly.

In the end it was the big ECU plug, with all those pins. Shaking the cable harness slightly near the ECU, with the car on imediatly caused the idle speed to increase, and it would also cut out, turn the engine off.

Lots of engine/transmission movement on these while driving. Vibrations too. And the crappy roads!
So i secured the harness to the supports around the Battery/ECU as best i could using cable zip ties. It worked well, for now at least..

Just my 2 cents.

Also those magnetti marelli injectors, i have four new of those on my 172. Replaced a few years ago. Flawless. They work well!
Mind you when my injectors where starting to fail, i would only get the engine emissions light on, and a horrible smell from the exhaust. Slight hesitation too.
Got them from Autodoc, so they are the real deal.

Just my experience on this sort of issues. Get a real expert to diagnose your problem.
A lot of times its just a wiring harness issue, instead of the parts themselves.

Also, the spark plug on the failing injector's cilinder would be completely covered in black soot, and it's Ohm's reading would be off. One failed, and then after a few months, another one failed too!

In the end, all 4 replaced.

But i'll say it again, take it to a specialist.

Replaced the injectors. Car's working fine; I think one or two were just partially blocked, all the impedances were OK.
