Ive replaceed exhaust on cup from cat back, got a standard pattern part centre section and backbox as old one was knackered and blowing. Got it fitted and it was horrendous to drive, lot of noise and vibration on acceleration coming from front, making pedals vibrate! took it back and turns out centre section wasnt welded straight and was pulling cat and rest of exhaust over to make it rub and resonate on heatshield and tunnel. Had a look and to be honest fit of it was awful. Got a replacement centre section fitted on Friday, is a little better, however still get vibration and noise on pulling away, unless drive it really gently which is crazy!. Im now thinking of going for genuine centre section which should be straightly welded and correct shape and sticking with pattern backbox to solve problem, got all new exhaust mounts so cant be that. Need to keep standard exhaust as easier to insure and just wanna keep car original. Would genuine be the answer or is it possible it could be worn engine mounts/dog bone mounts causing the problem?! :S
