clio 172 ph2 shift light wiring

Evening,
I'm trying to wire in a Gizmo dual stage shift light.

I've wired the positive and earth into the instrument cluster wiring loom but I'm struggling to find the correct wire for the tacho signal.
I first tried the tacho signal for the instrument cluster but that just made the light constantly flicker. next up i tried the white wire on the coil pack connector but that just made the light stay on.

The instructions say to connect it to the :
taco signal, ignition coil negative or igniter trigger wire.

I've searched the forums but mainly info is about the factory fitted shift indicator

The wire you need is one of the 2 thinner wires going to the coil pack. The thick white wire is the 12v supply. You need to tap into one of the 2 signal wires.
