clio funny idle after drive! help

Hi

When I start the car at any time the car idles like it should.... I can drive it normally (no high revs) and the revs are still fine when I stop. When I seem to give it a bit and then pull over the revs are way higher and seem to go up and down.. I tried tonight re earthing my speedo cable sensor but no luck.

Wtf could it be as its pissing me off.

My car is a MK1 clio 16v.

The sensor on the speedo cable all in place and secure?

Well I thought thats what I sorted.... I took dials out and then I re earthed the black wire. The plug was a 3 cable plug coming from speedo cable.

Yea, did you see the little sensor tho in the cable?
It kinda slides in to the white plastic casing?

Oh is that the thing with 3 wires (soldered onto a chip sort of thing?)

lol its meant to be on the speedo cable, its secured into the cable at the white plastic bit where the cable meets the clocks

Fixed

Needed a plastic surround clip over the little circuit.
