the williams was 2.0 and limited editions and the valver was 1.8 16v

williams had a wider track at the front by using 19 16v suspension components,1 shaft,bottom arms,also the early willies were non sunroof models and had a numbered plaque.

Williams will always be the better car if you can find/afford one. Collectors items too really. Valvers still look a laugh though.

Williams is the better car to drive, more power and better handling. The next best option would be a Hybrid like I've got which is a williams engine in a valver shell. Hybrids sometimes have a widetrack fitted which is basically just the suspension off a williams but some just keep the same suspension set up as a normal valver.

dep[ends how serious you want to go really,valvers rev higher and are easier for parts but they come with a sunroof so the shell twists,you'll feel it in the pocket if you wreck a willy but valvers are easier to come by and go like stink if you strip them out and put a 1.2 box in.

Although x-172 was saying that a valver revs higher, which is true, you can buy a chip for a williams for £30 which will raise the limiter to that of a valver and it can safely run at that. Also, its only early williams that don't have a sunroof, the williams 3 and some williams 2's came with a sunroof.

yes,seems to suit the valver better as they seem a bit over geared,the rev out in top at a shown 135 on the 1.2 box,its rare you can get a valver to do that on a standard box,as donsrno1 says you can chip a willy to rev higher which also makes use of the willy manifold.
