Clutch release bearing

  911 GT3, 320i, M3
Hi

I think my clutch release bearing in on its way out and i'm off on a long drive round europe at the weekend.

basicly when the clutch its pushed down there's a slight whine from the bearing it's not that loud but noticable.

Is this fairly common? is it likely to mean a complete failure in the near future or can they just be a bit noisy for a while?

Thanks in advance.

its hard to say, they normally will last a long time or you could be unlucky and it could go quite early.

My clutch sqeaks like a mofo that you can clearly hear outside the car when its had a good run... lol I've been worrying about it recently
