Computer kinda noises coming from a 2002 172FF

Each time i start my car it sounds like a computer working (the noises i hear) and its coming from the glovebox direction :S

It hasn't affected the cars driveability or performance any way though.

As it has just started when my airbag light came on (See thread below)

There kinda similar to the noises some pc's and laptops make when you click on something.

You can here the computer working etc

Just like hard drive

thats the fuse box/ relays. mine does it as well. nothing to do with the airbag light.

you will hear it when the wipers are intermittent as well.

It made the noise with nothing switched on. :S


Lights , stereo, cc off etc.

Is that normal ?

Can you get a recording of the noise on video so we can see excactly where it's comming from?

Its coming from glovebox area and it def aint relays clicking.

I tied to video but it never picked up noises

Isn't the buzzing noise coming from the climate control fan interior sensor thing up in with your interior light ?

Nah it's not that, thats just an annoying buzz from the middle of the car. Mine seems to be coming from the dash / steering.

Open the bonnet and get someone to turn the igniton. Have a listen. Not so it turns over, but its stuff going on in the engine. Things getting into position before its started. I assume everyones does it. Mine does.

No i have an Alpine one, because it has a direct link cable to my i pod.

I removed the standard one when i got car

Why ?

I still have the original headunit though

Well when theres a cd in, it does some mad computer noise, so if u have a cd in there take it out then try it

Ah ok, na i never use cd's all my music is on my i pod
