Confused!

Ok over the last few months, every so often the electrical fault light will come on and while it is on the revs will just bounce and then stall.
It does it for a few minutes then suddenly stops and is fine for the rest of the journey.
While it is happening you can hear a wierd ticking noise from the left of the engine bay, and it seems to happen more often after it has been raining.
Anyone had anything similar to this before or have any idea what it could be?
Ive got a video of it happening so ill upload that in a bit, but any advice would be appreciated.

sounds like your carbon cannister, drivers side wheel arch

Yea, thats where the wierd ticking is coming from. What would i be looking at to fix it?

block it up, i didnt have one on my old ph2 an it was fine
