have we or have we not got MAF's lol

i swear my dci only has a 2wire sensor on the airbox for airtemp

i dont mean boost mike, tutuur ( would help if we knew your name ;) )
was on about some 750 reading that goes upto 850 odd if he stabs the throttle...

Only thing the map sensor does is cater for boost control.

we DO have a maf sensor, it's on the airfilter. I've found calibration maps for the 106 engine which show the maf goes to 1000+ so it should be able to read more than the 750mg/str it reads now.

i've had my boost press up from 1.25 upto 1.5bar and nothing changes regarding the airflow which seems odd to me!
Only when stabbing the throttle it will spike to 840mg/str but then settles again around 750...

/\ this bit mike

Ofcourse everything can be done mate, you just need to find the best way to do it.

i'm sorry for the confusion, i thought 65 and 80 had a maf too.
So i assume the 65 and 80 calculate airflow by boost vs air temp, which with the system the 100 uses is in my favour as it would be easier to swap map sensor without rescaling the complete map.

still leaves the question: what calculated airflow have you seen Mike? And did you map the proper way? I had too fool my inj. Timing map to get as much fuel in when the pump isn't able to deliver more....

my name's Arthur, what's your name again?

proper name is ryan or raz as everyone calls me lol

mike's done his the proper way im guessing, I know to do it properly we need a sensor in the exhaust down pipe for AFR calculations
which mike will have done.

this is why , when I get the mondeo pump on, im getting him to map It so I don't burn a hole through my pistons

That's the thing with calculated airflow and calculated injection. You can calculate exactly what it'll do!

mine runs a bit rich now as on the proper way i can't get more than 42mg/str in. By fooling the injection calibration i now spray around 50mg/str which is the pump limit anyway...

It does smoke a bit on full throttle though, haven't touched injection timing either but that'll require a dyno to do the right way!

Hmm thought for food an all!

I cant do anything yet as of now, for the 4th time , my idle from start up is jumpy.
Airs getting into the fuel system yet again, I've just put new fuel lines on not long ago , feck all diesel in the return pipe back to tank ....

Send unit must be full of s**t or the filter is after all the 2stroke treatment it's had
still goes as it should after letting it sort itself out.

ah well, can't wait to get the Mondeo pump back.
Im guessing I can just plug it in and fire it up, ie the ecu/rail sensor will tell the metering valve the same as it would on the 1.5 pump?
Or is this where I need a calibration map to tel the ecu what pressures the pump is ?

No lift pump? When we do a filter change at work on the mondeos , we can't prime the filter as it won't bring diesel through.
But the jag xtype can prime through with a primer bulb ( both not fitted with then btw )

I done this today on a 10 plate 1.8 mondeo.. Could i f**k get it started.. Tried fitting a primer bulb into the system and still wouldnt go.. Ended up having to do a 30mph bump start to get the fucker running

Yeah we ended up easy starting that Mondeo as it wouldn't go, gave it easy start and floored it to get the fuel through. f**king things

Don't know if it has a lift pump but if it does it's pressureless, that's because of the nature of the hp pump.

arthur , do you know where i can get the conrod specs for the renault 1.9 dti/dci f9q engine?

building an engine up atm , and darksides sell a set of forged rods for vw 1.9 ahu engines, want to know if theyre, the same size

Tutuur

• 144mm center - center
• 26mm tapered small end
• 50.6mm big end
• For use with Stock Pistons or 2.0 Pistons in the 1.9 Engines
• Special profiled so there is no need for grinding in the block
• 2 piece forged from 40CrNiMo steel
• Comes with ARP 2000 bolts and assembly instructions
• Shot peened and heat treated
• Weight is 575 gram with bolts, tolerance of +- 1 gram

those are the forged rods, need to know if the renault 1.9 engine matches those specs

On another term, what's the size of the 1.5 rod at the widest point ?

Trying to see if the newer 1.5s have a bigger beefy rod

  R5 gtt, R27 F1 team
Couldn't find anything regarding the 1.9 rods.

afaik only the wrist pin is thicker on the newer engines

Are those Mahle pistons actually better than the standards?

If they are , I might aswell get them to go with the rod seems as they're only 442£ for the set of pistons

They nearly do, was reading up earlier. 20mm pin, 47mm big end , 123mm center to center
Don't bother me anyhow, I've got the rods on order.

anybody intrested I'm where I getting the done, Fardon engineering , specialists in custom built engines

  Dacia 1.5dci
Hello I`ve got dacia 1.5dci 85PS ( remapped to 103PS stage1 ) with delphi dcm1.2. I ve got kp35 FGT turbo ( with wastegate 54359700029 )

54359710029_2.jpg

that is with vacuum electronic valve to actuator ( euro4). To stage 2 i need more air ( pressured of course ), so I was thinking of installing turbo with VNT from 103/106PS 1.5dci ( from megane/scenic2 and clio). Is that possible to install it ? 54399880070
TURBINA-RENAULT-MEGANE-CLIO-SCENIC-1-5-DCI-106-KM.jpg

As far as electronic vacuum valve - they both use same valve
f8fcc77444a3938ef1b18275ada7.jpg
.
I need to know if it `s possible to remap it by tuner ? I know my high pressure pump and injectors are capable to give 130PS.

Thank you all for replies.

Your issue with boost in maps is related with single value boost pressure, which is threshold of air pressure limit in intake.
I also spent a lot of time finding this single value in delphi dcm, but i found it eventually, now i can alter boost map and increase boost even over 2,4 bar

Hi, welcome again

I managed to remap and setup VNT bv39 turbo on delphi dcm1.2 (86hp stock).
I also added MAP sensor 3kPa from 1.5 106HP megane3/qashqai . No problem with that.

I wonder how much torque and air boost can we safely put in stock k9k engine( 86hp stock) ? and how much safely bv39 turbo can handle ?
I wonder also about jr5 gearbox : they survive annything more than 300Nm ?
