Bloke you sound like the guy on BBC who gets cowboy builders well made up to have u as a contact I'll have a look if there's any others I like and message u to have a look when ready to buy if that's ok? I think I've been put off by this one tbh. :)

6 months warranty?
I thought they only had to give 3 months. Well that's what Ford told me yesterday when I got a cmax off them.

Consumer Rights Act 2015 dictates..
If a fault means the car isn't of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose or not as described, the buyer can reject it within 30 days of delivery and demand a full refund.

Known as the 'early right to reject', this replaces earlier rules, which said a vendor could merely replace or repair a faulty item or part.

If you find a defect after 30 days and within six months of buying, you're entitled to a repair or replacement – and dealers have only one chance at repair or replacement.

If they fail, the customer is again entitled to a full or partial refund. It's assumed in law that the fault was present at the time of purchase unless the seller can prove otherwise.

For faults found after six months, it falls on the buyer to prove the product was faulty at the time of sale. It's worth noting that a wear and tear item or minor fault does not give the customer return/refund rights under the act

It's all members only mate. Well worth it though. Not only the classified but you'll get access to all the guides (for when you do purchase one), member kit, cheaper insurance from people who specialise in these cars, cheaper labour at certain garages, etc etc.

I thought none paid up members were allowed to browse the cars for sale section?

That's not to say that the £12 is more than worth every penny mind :).

It's not really a 6 month warranty, it's just your consumer rights.

Also it's only applicable to issues that are thought to have been present at the time of purchase. If it was working fine when you bought it and 3 months down the line the gearbox breaks then it's tough luck. It's very possible you have damaged it, why should the dealer pay?

It's up to the dealer to prove the fault wasn't present at the time of purchase though, not the buyer. Age, mileage etc all play a part too.
