Dirty TB

Hi I noticed my throttle body has built up a load of grime on one side of it. Strangely the rest of it all looks very clean though, including the other side of the valve.

I wondered if anyone knew what could be causing it to build up on this edge?

I've since removed the TB and cleaned it out but it'd be good to know how to prevent this build up as I only cleaned it 6 months ago.

Clean all the hoses inside and the filter if it's a cone filter.

Cheers James, yeah I did that too when I took it off so hopefully it'll keep clean for a while now!

Just dust getting stuck to the oil vapours from when the engine breathes a bit.
