drivers side electric window goes down, wont go back up?

Hi all, my daughter has bought a v reg 1.2 clio and the drivers window will go down but will only go up about 2/3 inches then stops, if you pull it as you press the switch it will go up, any suggestions appreciated thanx

Something jammed in the runner? Or probably a rusty regulator/mechanism.
