Earth issue??

Hopefully someone can help me here, why does the dipped headlight light on the dash light up when I hit the brake?
dodgy earth I'm suspecting from experience? Where are the earth points on the car?

Could be the connectors to the rear light clusters. Or the earth for them which is about 10cm below where it goes through the hole in back of boot.
