Engine management/emissions warning light...

Over the last month the warning light pictured here:

http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=406971

had been coming on randomly then going off again.

Thought that it was possibly the exhaust as it sounded like it was blowing slightly and I had intended to replace it anyway so didn't think it was much of a problem.

Just got back from holiday a couple of days ago, started up the engine which now (along with the exhaust) seems to be shaking about way more than usual.

The warning light is now constantly on.

Haven't driven the car much since as I'm worried it will cause more damage, but it does seem to be using a lot more fuel.

Is it likely to be the spark plugs and can anyone recommend a garage in the Glasgow area?

Cheers

Got it hooked up to a diagnostic, apparently it was the spark plugs and leads that had gone...

Got quoted £340 from renault to change them, surely that's way too much?!

Sounds a bit pricey lol.

36 for the plugs, IIRC the leads are about 120 from Renault though. Can get aftermarket ones for 80 or less. 1 hours labour - and that's generous.

Do it yourself, it's fairly straight forward. You need to remove the plenum but it is easy.

There is bound to be a guide.
