Driving off to my mates yesterday. Car started okay, then 1 minute later was running like a fat pig!
Got quite far down the road by this point, pulled over, I noticed the engine Warning light was flashing. - Turned off the car.
Called the RAC, they joined me - 1 hour later. The guy, who I can only describe as a fisherman! (He stunk of fish???) Plugged in his computer and found it was cylinder #1.... or somthing along those lines..... This is where it gets stupid!!!
He replaces Coil pack #1 Checks the fault again. Still coil #1!
So he recons... French cars are made backwards!!
He replaces coil four with my #1.
- Fault comes up as..... cylinder #4!!!
He then thinks that his (Renault) coil is broken so proceeds to take my #1 out - put it back where it started and put another new coil in #4 hole!!!!
- Fault comes up with cylinder #1.
After he revs the sh!t out of it!!!! I suggest he's just put the shite one back in and needs to replace it with a good one. ---- No mate let me explain things to you.... what I did was.......
Fault - cylinder #1
He comes to the conclusion, it's not the coil it's lower down. Still Running like a pig.
He removes the spark plug..... Cleans it - looks it over..... revs it! Miss firing like a blind male pornstar.

He suggest it might be even further in. - Calls another Van.
He comes along - rips out coil #1, smells it, bends it, - it's feked!
The 2nd technician asks for another coil, he gets given the (Renault) coil. He looks at it and says 'Thats been used', smells it, bends it. It's feked!!!
I say 'You tryin somthing mate??'....1st guy laughs........
Gets the other new coil, puts it in #1. Turns it on. Starts fine!
2 Hours 10 minutes
£40 + Petrol from reving!!!!!!!!
No night out!
