Explain this clutch diagram 182

  2005 Clio 182 FF
Changing the clutch at the moment and trying to figure what this means?

It fits onto the clutch alignment tool, but isn't solid between the clutch plate and flywheel?

Does it even need to be fitted?

It fits on the flywheel, it's a bearing and goes on first, then the clutch and then the cover.

the input shaft on the jc5 box doesnt have a spigot end so no need for a bearing,
it's just a piece of pressed tin, chuck it
