Exposed parts behind front bumper (pics)

Hi,

This may be the most stupid question ever but just wanted a bit of advice. This canister is exposed behind my front bumper, although there is suppose to be a little bit of plastic covering it.

Would it still be fine to drive without it, just dont go offroading!? Thanks

I'd be weary about stone chips long term, shouldn't have too much trouble with that if the car isn't floored though.

I've just put this bumper on, I had the pre-facelift before. The bit of plastic is suppose to clip onto the undertray/bumper support which it does on the old bumper, but not this one. I might take a saw to the bit of plastic this weekend and a bit of glue :\
