FBW going haywire (after jet washing)

  Clio 172 RS2
So i went to jet wash/hand wash the CS of all the dried up road salt and build up road grime, gotta love the O.Z. F1 multi spoke rims.
(heavily salted roads last weeks due to snowfall)

Decided to do some minor engine cleaning too...
Rinsing certain parts covered with salt crystals.

Boy what was i thinking!!!
FBW going haywire, revving after chamoing the CS down above 2.000 and rising to 4.500
Guess some electronis parts/sensors got wet. :nono:

Drove home with the car on / off (still revving like hell) when stopping.
Driving off like a granny with a slipping clutch, as to aiding the CS not to take off instantly.

Microwave symbol lit together with the engine emission symbol.

Parked the car, de-connected the battery (ECU reset), checked all various parts for wetness... the ones i suspected all bone dry. :approve:

Reconnected all, trial started and instant high revving. FOOK!

Deciced to allow overnight drying and recheck in the morning.
(wanted to drive through a Renault Service Center for a faulty ECU read out if )

Fortunately CS idled normally and only the emission symbol was lit.
Decided to drive a couple of miles, getting engine warm and so on.

After some miles the emission symbol went out like i guessed.

So all is normal now. :)

*moral of this story and lesson learned is: don't get electronics wet in engine bay.
