Ford stereo help please

I know this is CS, but you're a useful bunch for most things. So I'll give it a go.

I have an 04 Focus with the following standard stereo installed:



What I want to do, is keep the standard double din and not have a face off unit, but be able to get an ipod link.

So is it possible to upgrade to this type of unit running the aux cable into the glove box:



Or



Any help appreciated.

If i remember your stereo is only a 1.5 din and the other 2 are double din.
