gearbox diff or mountings

just wondering if anyone can help clutch on my clio 51 plate 172 feels harsh like bangs when i let it out in gear like mountings banging although i think there fine its as though the drive shafts go round half a turn then engage if you can picture that. it doesent make any box noises when driving an gear change is fine but can be jumpy rolling in 2nd gear thanks
